Forward Deployment Engineer

• $175k-$250k base + super + equity + company benefits

Intrinzic has partnered exclusively with one of the most exciting tech companies in the world, to build out their Australian Engineering Team.
  
We are looking for multiple Forward Deployment Engineers to complement their global team, as well as to assist their growing customer base.
  
Candidates must be Australian Permanent Residents or hold Australian Citizens to apply for these opportunities.
  
About the role:

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you will work directly with end customers, owning strategy, build, execution and support. Your responsibilities with span across SRE and Software Engineering, where you will need to context switch quickly, owning the delivery of high-stakes projects with clients.
  
In this role, you will have a direct impact on the frontier of AI research, work on interesting projects, with new types of software, and be part of the process of creating new AI models.
  
What you will be doing:

• Deliver bespoke solutions end-to-end to meet the needs of the customer – scoping out requirements, designing and creating solutions
• Continuously iterate, improve and automate solutions through monitoring and alerting
• Consult and communicate with customers to ensure the best direction is taken and best solution is delivered
• Building internal tooling for automation and solution optimization
• Analyze monitoring and ticketing systems to automate problems for the future, improving current automations, and get ahead of customer problems based on data

  
Key skills/experience required:

• 3+ years of experience in an SRE role – focus on observability
• Golang experience (minimum 2+ years)
• Kubernetes experience (setting up and configuring clusters at scale)
• Strong Linux Systems Administration background – troubleshooting and debugging issues
• Monitoring and alerting experience (Prometheus and Grafana, or similar)
• Experience with distributed systems
• Experience working with external customers and building custom solutions
• Great verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to turn business/product ideas into engineering solutions
